🙏🏼 Thank you

Adventure at your own pace kind of island.

Some resturants will give you a discount if you pay in cash so they can pay the fishermen.

Sneakers for those longer walks especially if you are hiking from destination to destination.

Comfortable sandals are popular in the Summer.

Poor, would recommend sneakers.

If you want to travel in between and around the island, a car is recommended.

Things we did

Some memorable stops.

Rent a boat, see the caves

Milos is famous for their caves along the coast. Many secluded of the islands are only accesable by boat so it is usually worthwhile to rent a boat to take a little trip to see them. Explore and swim amongst the Barbossa Pirate's treasure coves. Two popular caves include Sikia Cave and Kleftiko.

Visit Sarakiniko Rocks

Featured on Vogue covers, these rock formations give you other worldly vibes with their smooth white surfaces. It's a chill and gorgeous site worth the stop for photograph or swim. See Map

See Ancient Theater

This is where the original Statue of Venus was found, just outside of this half theater. You will find a life size model of the Statue of Venus right before a breathtaking view down to the theater. The catacombs were right next door, but I didn't have time to visit. We hear it is also worth a peek. See Map

Things we ate

Some memorable nom nom noms

Akrotiri Seafood Milos

Really decent food, quality of seafood is usually fresh from the sea. Sometimes they feature home grown produce. When we went they had home grown tomato salad that quickly sold out. Would recommend checking out and getting their Greek Salad for the freshest produce. See Map

Yialos Restaurant Milos

Another popular local spot with authentic seafood flavors. I ordered the thickly declicious Sea Urchin Pasta that I was happy to find under €30, and a pork belly sandwich. See Map

Okto

The restaurant itself has not won stars, but is known for having chefs who previously have won it. We came here to see the sunset for dinner and ordered octopus and shrimp couscous. See Map

Sirocco Volcanic Restaurant

A little secluded in the beach popular area of the island, Sirocco had really delicious selections of seafood. I got their pile 'ole mussels for €17 and my partner got the Rooster. See Map
